BMSEED Awarded Phase I SBIR Grant from NIH

BMSEED proposed the commercialization of the first adaptable, 3D-formfitting microelectrode array for recording and stimulating brain organoids in a truly 3D environment. Organoids are spherical whereas commercial microelectrode arrays (MEAs) are flat. This new 3D pocket MEA will allow neural signals to be gathered across as much of the intact organoid surface as possible. The project will first focus on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Learn more about the project on the AZBio News page.
